Imaginary Portraits
Recently I have seen my graphics background come through in my 'imaginary portraits'. I paint them from my imagination, ie without a sitter. Even though there are no deliberate expressions, I enjoy bringing out the different emotions that want to emerge.
I see these emotions in all faces, through their structure, their demeanor and their posture and I use colours and textures to further emphasise these.
